This Hurts You WAY More Than It Hurts Me

To be a puppy-

A moment in time where a dentabone-the ultimate instant gratification-is pure bliss.

Gorby and his bone

Where your only big choices are which toy to play with, which Nylabone to chew.

All the toys a boy could want

And where each moment can be a moment of fun, safe and secure in the loving nest of your home and your family.

A happy boy

Of course, if you knew that seven days from today your loving and tender family have arranged to have your testicles removed, you might not be so carefree.

2 Does he make those happy doggie grunt noises when he chews his bones?

3 Does he make those happy doggie grunting noises when he has his chewie? My basset sounds like an old man with phlegm. Ok, so not a very good description, but you get the point. :-)

4 Sorry for the double post. I was having trouble posting the comments this morning.

5 I love the "doggie grunt noises" and the complete bliss that a new bone brings our dog. I wonder if he'll get mad at you like our dog did...for 2 days afterwards..he wanted nothing to do with us...but he also couldn't climb stairs or even the front step...so he HAD to interract with us...funny and pitiful all at the same time.

6 poor Gorby. just make sure you reassure him that he's still a totally macho dog without his nuts.

7 Neuticles and, the last photo makes him look all short bus.

8 Testicles are over rated!

9 For The Princess, it's tennis balls. The bones are too big for her wittle mouth!

10 Haha! Not knowing what's ahead of him is a total bliss. We had our dog's removed too. The morning we sent him to the vet, he still looked innocently cute, not realising the fate that befalls him. When we picked him up, he was actually alright. Wasn't even bother with the stitches or pain at all.

11 The last time I had a male cat neutered, he sat for days looking at his bottom, as if to say "What the hell happened here?". I hope Gorby will be blissfully clueless about it!

12 Okay, that last photo is freakin' hilarious.

13 Reminds me of that Far Side comic where one dog in the car is excitedly talking to another in a yard: "We're going to the store, then the park, and then we're going to the vet so I can get tutored!"
